2024

SYNAXON partners: 3,200

  • We are giving our SYNAXON brand presence a new look: in addition to a revised logo and a fresh design, we are launching the website synaxon.com, uniting our previous four SYNAXON websites.
  • Frank Roebers will leave SYNAXON at the end of the year and Miguel Rodriguez will be appointed to the Executive Board on January 1, 2025. Mark Schröder becomes Chairman of the Management Board.
  • As part of the „Familie Leben OWL“ campaign, we were selected as a best-practice company by the Competence Center for Women and Work. The award underlines our efforts to be a truly family-friendly company and an inspiration to others.

2023

SYNAXON partners: 3,100

  • At our „30+2“ anniversary celebration, we bring together our partners, manufacturers and distributors and celebrate more than three decades of joint success.
  • Our largest Impulse event to date sets new standards and attracts an impressive number of participants from across the industry – an event with top-class speakers and innovative presentations as well as valuable and inspiring ideas that we won’t soon forget!
  • Despite a declining market overall, we are experiencing growth, which demonstrates our adaptability and strategic foresight.
  • We welcome Dr. Niklas Darijtschuk as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

2022

SYNAXON partners: 3,100

  • We break through a sound barrier: in 2022, we will achieve a turnover of more than 1 billion euros via our listed EGIS suppliers. This is an outstanding success and a historic milestone for SYNAXON.
  • Our IT-SERVICE.NETWORK family is growing: The IT-SERVICE.NETWORK partner offer launched on April 1, 2016 has been really well received. More than 500 convinced SYNAXON partner companies have now joined our B2B marketing cooperation – and the trend is rising.
  • The successes of the past few years need to be celebrated! Since Corona put a spanner in the works on the occasion of our milestone birthday, we used our 31st birthday this year as an opportunity for a really big party with all SYNAXON employees. After all, the many positive developments of the past few years deserve a proper toast!
  • Our aim is to continuously improve the everyday life of our SYNAXON partners through our services. As part of this, we are introducing the ISA/IDA app – an app that guides our partners and their employees step by step towards a professional, standardized and structured infrastructure analysis.

2020

SYNAXON partner: 2,900

  • We are expanding our product portfolio: In August 2020, we are launching the new IT-SERVICE.NETWORK PLUS together with six pilot partners in order to raise the service level on the market with uniform standards.
  • We are modernizing our management structure and preparing for major growth with a promotion offensive, a new training course for future team leaders and more rights for our team leaders.
  • From now on, our PC-SPEZIALIST brand will focus on the managed service business for small office/home office customers with 1 to 10 workstations.
  • We reach the 250-employee mark for the first time.

2019

SYNAXON partner: 2,800

  • We are launching the first pilot phase of the einsnulleins franchise. Three locations in Erlangen, Munich and Hamburg will be launched by the end of the year.
  • In a one-year participatory process involving all employees, we adopt the new corporate mission statement „10xin10“.
  • We take over the emendo Group in its entirety.
  • We proved that it is possible to combine family and career at SYNAXON by taking first place in the „51 to 250 employees“ category in the „Family wins“ competition in November 2019.
  • Our IT-SERVICE.NETWORK now unites more than 400 partners.

2018

SYNAXON partner: 2,800

  • PC-SPEZIALIST launches „BEAM“ as a managed services elite and the „one-for-all package“, offering managed services to private customers for the first time.
  • We decide to set up another franchise system with einsnulleins. Our aim is to conquer the market for modern IT services such as managed services for commercial customers.
  • Together with iTeam partners, we are launching our first Germany-wide management training course.

2016

SYNAXON partner: 2,700

  • We are launching two new brands:
    • The B2B marketing network IT-SERVICE.NETWORK for sustainable business models in IT is launched and already grows to 225 partners in the short year.
    • The SYNAXON IT.partnership brings together the purchasing cooperations MICROTREND and AKCENT to form a procurement concept.
  • The laboratory company einsnulleins is in a constant state of change. The future focus is on B2B business – to this end, einsnulleins is launching a new homepage.

2015

SYNAXON partner: 2,700

  • We provide our partners with comprehensive support in the project business. HP and Dell are just two of the leading manufacturers for whom we employ our own in-house solution architects.
  • The PC-SPEZIALIST strategy continues to enjoy great success: towards the end of the year, we had more than 270 service partners.
  • Andreas Wenninger is leaving the Management Board to take on new challenges as Managing Director of Industry & Energy GmbH & Co.

2012

SYNAXON partner: 3,000

  • We are introducing Liquid Feedback so that employees can now vote on initiatives anonymously.
  • Entry into the service business: PC-SPEZIALIST starts marketing standardized services, we launch the tendering platform „meine-IT“ and in December, with einsnulleins, a laboratory operation in Hamburg. einsnulleins tests new services and forms of marketing.
  • Our sales increase by 44 % compared to the previous year.

2010

SYNAXON partner: 3,000

  • We have a new main shareholder in Bruno Fortmeier and his ARF Holding.
  • Our central merchandise business is picking up speed, with sales up 64% on the previous year.

2008

SYNAXON partner: 3,000

  • Launch of SYNAXON UK: A good network group business is also appreciated in the UK.
  • The second edition of „SYNIT“ attracts more than 1,000 visitors to Fulda.

2007

SYNAXON partner: 2,800

  • Following the positive experience with the SYNAXON Wiki, we are appointing our employees as official ambassadors. Anyone can communicate on the Internet in the company name. No approvals are required for this either.
  • SYNIT“, the first SYNAXON trade fair, takes place in Fulda in October.
  • Mark Schröder is appointed to the SYNAXON Management Board with responsibility for finance.

2003

SYNAXON partner: 1,500

  • Thomas Kruse joins the Supervisory Board.
  • Fundamental change in strategy: The largest investment program in the company’s history is launched. A total of more than twelve million euros is invested in growth – including in acquisitions, realignment (PC-SPEZIALIST business type renovation), new business types and the EGIS platform.

1999

SYNAXON partner: 500

  • IPO, listing on the Neuer Markt. The admission committee initially refused to accept us because we weren’t „new economy“ enough. We had to promise that we would also do online trading at some point. We then kept this promise in 2009. It wasn’t particularly quick, but today we are one of the few survivors of the Neuer Markt.
  • PC-SPEZIALIST tops the official franchise hit list of CHEF magazine in 1999.
  • Frank Roebers becomes a member of the Management Board.

1996

SYNAXON partner: 156

  • The new PC-SPEZIALIST C-Store and XL-Store operating types are successfully tested and introduced.
  • The German Franchise Association and Norman Rentrop Verlag award a PC-SPEZIALIST partner the title of „Franchisee of the Year“.

1995

SYNAXON partners: 84

  • Although our old partners do not want to become franchisees, they would still like to continue receiving our purchasing services. That’s why MICROTREND is founded. Initially, we only offer purchasing. All offers are voluntary and not obligatory.
  • Introduction of Lotus Notes as an information and messaging platform.
  • Introduction of the new PC-SPEZIALIST brand core with the claim „simply likeable“ and a new logo. This new positioning has been a complete success.

1992

SYNAXON partners: 18

  • Frank Roebers joins the team.
  • We are stepping up our efforts to persuade our partners to adopt a common brand identity, which is only moderately successful because our partners prefer to use their old company names.

1991

SYNAXON partners: 4

  • October: SYNAXON is founded
  • Our founders, Thomas Kruse and André Flottmann, ran a computer store in Bielefeld and realized that the competition was getting uncomfortable. The idea: let’s set up a company that pools the advertising money and purchasing volumes of specialist retailers in order to remain competitive.
