Goal

The aim of this training series is to continuously develop your expertise as a data protection officer and to provide comprehensive documentation of your acquired competencies. To this end, the existing foundations for performing the duties of a data protection officer will be consolidated, supplemented with the expertise required by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and current knowledge of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) will be developed. Furthermore, your expertise will be expanded in the long term to include topics related to European and international data protection, enabling you to permanently assume the role of data protection officer for internationally operating companies.

Requirement

To participate in this training series, you should have basic knowledge of the Federal Data Protection Act and its application.

Procedure of the online training courses

		Stephan Hansen-Oest He is a lawyer specializing in IT law and the owner of a law firm specializing in data protection law. He has been working in the field of data protection law for 25 years and advises companies and public authorities on data protection law and IT security law.
		Carola Sieling She is a specialist in IT and internet law. She not only possesses the skills of a lawyer but also excellent technical knowledge, which is essential for providing legal advice in IT law. Her areas of expertise include IT law, internet law, competition law, trademark law, employment law, data protection law, copyright law, contract law, and the law of general terms and conditions. In addition to her work as a specialist lawyer for information technology law, she is a lecturer at the Nordakademie and a data protection officer.
		The described training consists of 39 online training modules that are directly available to you.
		The duration of each teaching unit (TU) is approximately 45 minutes.
		A certificate of attendance is provided for each course unit. This certificate serves as comprehensive documentation of the acquired competence. These certificates are recognized, among other things, for maintaining the status of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024 certified data protection officer (IQ-Zert, Global-Cert).
		All online training courses are available for download in .MP4 format for at least six months.
		The language of instruction is German. Accompanying teaching materials, presentations, and desktop views may also be displayed in English.
