We are tackling climate change
From online search queries to office buildings and company cars – pretty much everything causes emissions and increases the greenhouse effect. We can't let this continue! Because as a company, it is our responsibility to actively address this and reduce our emissions. We incorporated this into our mission statement and, in 2019, created a sales-related CO₂ balance for the first time, which continues to guide our actions today.

SYNAXON's 3-step strategy
Simply covering up our CO₂ emissions through greenwashing is not something we're planning! And anyone who knows us knows that empty words don't suit us – especially not when it comes to such an important issue. So we've developed a three-step strategy to integrate sustainability into our day-to-day business.
We are committed to greater sustainability
Climate-friendly shipping with Deutsche Post
With "GoGreen," Deutsche Post offers a climate-friendly shipping option that we are only too happy to use to further contribute to sustainability. The CO₂ emissions generated during transport are offset by investments in internationally recognized climate protection projects. GoGreen program is used for press products and advertising mailings such as Dialogpost, Postaktuell and Postwurfspezial.

Conducting an external energy audit
We want to know exactly! Therefore, in 2022, we commissioned an external auditor to assess our current energy consumption and identify opportunities for improvement in this area. The results of the energy audit at SYNAXON were carefully documented. We were able to gain some important insights, which we are gradually reviewing and incorporating into our sustainability strategy.
Ecosia
PRIMACLIMATE
Planting trees to restore the ecosystem and biodiversity – that's Ecosia's mission. However, this has nothing to do with greenwashing. The company exclusively targets socially and ecologically sustainable organizations that want to make a tangible contribution to global reforestation. To this end, Ecosia has partners worldwide who meet the highest ESG and sustainability standards, enabling it to take action where it's most important and effective.
Ecosia has been planting trees for over ten years, monitors them, and replants trees at its own expense if they die within the first three years. As proof of this, Ecosia provides an impact report that summarizes where the trees were planted and what impact they will have on the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
PRIMAKLIMA pursues an ambitious goal by preserving and increasing forests. The non-profit organization has been actively involved in climate protection since 1991, holds a DZI donation seal, and is part of the "Transparent Civil Society" initiative. The organization is committed to disclosing its goals, where its funds come from, how they are used, and who makes the decisions.
Offset donations are used for VCS/CCBS-certified reforestation projects in Uganda or a forest conservation project in Indonesia, ensuring not only climate protection but also the sustainable development of the project sites. The plantations are older and pre-financed, so CO₂ has already been verifiably sequestered. Our emissions are therefore offset immediately through the donation, not in the future.
