  • We are offering SYNAXON services in Austria for the first time.

2024

SYNAXON partners: 3,200

  • We are giving our SYNAXON brand identity a new look: In addition to a revised logo and a fresh design, we are launching the website synaxon.com , thus uniting our four existing SYNAXON websites.
  • Frank Roebers will leave SYNAXON at the end of the year, and Miguel Rodriguez will be appointed to the Executive Board effective January 1, 2025. Mark Schröder will become Chairman of the Executive Board.
  • As part of the "Family Life OWL" campaign, we were selected as a best-practice company by the Competence Center for Women and Work. This award underscores our commitment to being a truly family-friendly company and an inspiration to others.

2023

SYNAXON partners: 3,100

  • At our "30+2" anniversary celebration, we bring together our partners, manufacturers, and distributors to celebrate more than three decades of shared success.
  • Our largest Impulse event to date sets new standards and attracts an impressive number of attendees from across the industry – an event with high-profile speakers and innovative presentations, as well as valuable and inspiring ideas that we won't soon forget!
  • Despite an overall declining market, we are experiencing growth, which demonstrates our adaptability and strategic foresight.
  • We welcome Dr. Niklas Darijtschuk as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

2022

SYNAXON partners: 3,100

  • We're breaking the sound barrier: In 2022, we will generate more than €1 billion in sales through our listed EGIS suppliers. This is an outstanding achievement and a historic milestone for SYNAXON.
  • Our IT-SERVICE.NETWORK family is growing: The IT-SERVICE.NETWORK partner offering, launched on April 1, 2016, is proving extremely popular. More than 500 committed SYNAXON partner companies have now joined our B2B marketing collaboration, and the number is growing.
  • The successes of the past few years deserve to be celebrated! Since the coronavirus pandemic put a damper on our milestone anniversary, we used our 31st birthday this year as an opportunity for a truly big party with all SYNAXON employees. It's time to properly toast the many positive developments of the past few years!
  • Our goal is to continuously improve the daily lives of our SYNAXON partners through our services. To this end, we are introducing the ISA/IDA app – an app that guides our partners and their employees step by step toward a professional, consistent, and structured infrastructure analysis.

2020

SYNAXON partners: 2,900

  • We are expanding our product portfolio: In August 2020, we will launch the new IT-SERVICE.NETWORK PLUS together with six pilot partners in order to raise the service level in the market with uniform standards.
  • We are modernizing our leadership structure and preparing for significant growth with a promotion drive, a new training program for future team leaders, and more privileges for our team leaders.
  • Our PC-SPEZIALIST brand will now focus on the managed service business for small office/home office customers with 1 to 10 workstations.
  • We are reaching the 250-employee mark for the first time.

2019

SYNAXON partners: 2,800

  • We're launching the first pilot phase of the einsnulleins franchise. By the end of the year, three locations will be open in Erlangen, Munich, and Hamburg.
  • In a one-year participatory process with all employees, we adopted the new corporate mission statement »10xin10«.
  • We are taking over the emendo Group completely.
  • We prove that combining family and career is possible at SYNAXON by winning first place in the “51 to 250 employees” category in the “Family Wins” competition in November 2019.
  • Our IT-SERVICE.NETWORK now unites more than 400 partners.

2018

SYNAXON partners: 2,800

  • PC-SPEZIALIST is launching "BEAM" as the elite managed services package and the "One-for-All Package," thus offering managed services to private customers for the first time.
  • We have decided to establish another franchise system with einsnulleins. With this system, we aim to conquer the market for modern IT services such as managed services for commercial customers.
  • Together with iTeam partners, we are launching our first Germany-wide management training course.

2016

SYNAXON partners: 2,700

  • We are launching with two new brands:
    • The B2B marketing network IT-SERVICE.NETWORK for sustainable business models in IT is launched and grows to 225 partners in the first half of the year.
    • The SYNAXON IT.Partnership brings together the purchasing cooperatives MICROTREND and AKCENT into one procurement concept.
  • The einsnulleins laboratory is undergoing constant change. The future focus is on B2B business – to this end, einsnulleins is launching a new website.

2015

SYNAXON partners: 2,700

  • We provide our partners with comprehensive project support. HP and Dell are just two of the leading manufacturers for whom we employ dedicated solution architects in-house.
  • The PC-SPEZIALIST strategy continues to enjoy great success: towards the end of the year, we had more than 270 service partners.
  • Andreas Wenninger is leaving the Board of Directors to take on new challenges as Managing Director of Industry & Energy GmbH & Co. KG.

2012

SYNAXON partners: 3,000

  • We are introducing Liquid Feedback so that employees can now submit initiatives for voting anonymously.
  • Entry into the service business: PC-SPEZIALIST begins marketing standardized services, we launch the tendering platform "meine-IT," and in December, we establish a laboratory in Hamburg with einsnulleins. einsnulleins is testing new services and marketing methods.
  • Our sales increased by 44% compared to the previous year.

2010

SYNAXON partners: 3,000

  • We are getting a new major shareholder with Bruno Fortmeier and his ARF Holding.
  • Our central merchandise business is gaining momentum, with our sales increasing by 64% year-on-year.

2008

SYNAXON partners: 3,000

  • Launch of SYNAXON UK: Great Britain also appreciates good group business.
  • The second edition of »SYNIT« attracts more than 1,000 visitors to Fulda.

2007

SYNAXON partners: 2,800

  • Following our positive experience with the SYNAXON Wiki, we are appointing our employees as official ambassadors. Anyone can communicate online in the company's name. No approval is required for this either.
  • The first SYNAXON trade fair, “SYNIT,” will take place in Fulda in October.
  • Mark Schröder is appointed to the SYNAXON Board of Directors for Finance.

2003

SYNAXON partners: 1,500

  • Thomas Kruse moves to the Supervisory Board.
  • Fundamental strategic shift: The largest investment program in the company's history is launched. A total of more than twelve million euros is invested in growth – including acquisitions, reorientation (PC-SPEZIALIST business model renovation), new business models, and the EGIS platform.

1999

SYNAXON partners: 500

  • IPO, listing on the Neuer Markt. The admissions committee initially refused to accept us because we weren't "new economy" enough. We had to promise that we would eventually offer online trading. We finally fulfilled that promise in 2009. It wasn't particularly quick, but today we are one of the few survivors of the Neuer Markt.
  • The official franchise hit list of CHEF magazine is topped by PC-SPEZIALIST in 1999.
  • Frank Roebers becomes board member.

1996

SYNAXON partners: 156

  • The new PC-SPEZIALIST operating types C-Store and XL-Store are successfully tested and introduced.
  • The German Franchise Association and Norman Rentrop Publishing House honor a PC-SPEZIALIST partner as “Franchisee of the Year.”

1995

SYNAXON partners: 84

  • Our existing partners don't want to become franchisees, but would still like to continue using our purchasing services. Therefore, MICROTREND is being founded. Initially, only purchasing will be offered here. All offers are voluntary and not mandatory.
  • Introduction of Lotus Notes as an information and messaging platform.
  • Introduction of the new PC-SPEZIALIST brand essence with the slogan "simply likeable" and a new logo. This new positioning is a complete success.

1992

SYNAXON partners: 18

  • Frank Roebers joins the team.
  • We are increasing our efforts to encourage our partners to adopt a common brand identity, but this has been only moderately successful because our partners prefer to use their old company names.

1991

SYNAXON partners: 4

  • October: SYNAXON is founded
  • Our founders, Thomas Kruse and André Flottmann, ran a computer store in Bielefeld and noticed that competition was becoming increasingly uncomfortable. The idea: Let's establish a company that pools the advertising funds and purchasing volumes of specialist retailers to remain competitive.
