The Whistleblower Protection Act was passed by the Bundestag on May 11, 2023, and confirmed by the Bundesrat on May 12, 2023. It therefore entered into force in mid/late June 2023. Implementation will be mandatory by December 17th – failure to comply will result in a fine of up to 100,000 euros.

In this online seminar, you will learn about the background and legal framework. Important information, such as the ombudsperson's responsibilities, affected companies, and possible reporting channels for fulfilling obligations and requirements, will be discussed in detail.

Lecturer:
Hans-Detlef Krebs has been working as an external data protection officer for over 20 years.
Through his work on behalf of state governments (including those in the European context), he possesses a very sound theoretical and practical knowledge in this field. He advises numerous large and medium-sized clients in sensitive areas. In 2010, he was one of the first in Germany to receive the title Data protection officer certified according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024.
