Control access with fine granularity: Conditional Access (Sign-in Risk, Device Compliance, Session Controls), Identity Protection, Passwordless & MFA Strategies
Securing Privileged Access: PIM (JIT/JEA), Break-Glass, „Admin-as-a-Service“ Patterns, Least Privilege in daily operations.
Integrate applications and workload identities: App registrations, Enterprise Apps (SAML/OIDC), Managed Identities, Service Principals, Secret Hygiene.
Managing external identities: B2B (invitation/entitlement management), B2C basic patterns and governance aspects.
Sharpen your security operations perspective: Read sign-in logs and audit signals, KQL basics for identity signals, orchestrate detection/cleanup workflows (playbooks).
Transferring best practices to your own company – with checklists, runbooks and migration paths.

Goal

Three-day deep-dive workshop on Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) focusing on advanced identity, security, and integration scenarios in enterprise and hybrid environments. The course combines the conceptual building blocks (identity governance, conditional access, PIM, app registrations, B2B/B2C, workload identities) with practical exercises and anchors everything in the SOC context (signals, hunting, and automation).

Requirement

Solid foundation in Azure/M365 and Entra-ID basics; basic understanding of SOC is an advantage.
