Restrictions apply to Securepoint, Sophos and NoSpamProxy, among others.
Cyren, a provider of email security and threat detection solutions, announced on February 22, 2023, that the company's board of directors had approved a plan to cease operations and initiate bankruptcy proceedings.
Several companies, including Securepoint, have already informed their partners via email that they can no longer guarantee operations from their end.
What are the effects of this?
The following services may potentially have their functionality restricted:
- Mail relay (SMTP): Spam and virus detection
- Mail Connector (POP3, POP3s): Spam and virus detection
- HTTP proxy (antivirus): virus detection
- POP3 Proxy (POP3): Spam and virus detection
We do not yet know what will happen to these security products following Cyren's bankruptcy filing. However, we do know that our Managed Endpoint Security and Managed Firewall products are functioning perfectly and are not affected in any way.
