ESET is restructuring many of its existing product lines. This includes the package you are using. Managed Endpoint Security Essential affected. The license has been terminated by the manufacturer and is expiring completely (end-of-life).. To ensure you can continue seamlessly, we negotiated a pragmatic solution together with the manufacturer.
What happens now?
– Your Essential licenses will automatically to the current entry-level version Entry switched over – without you having to do anything actively.
To use all additional features, you need to switch from "Endpoint Antivirus" to "Endpoint Security". You can find the process and how we can support you here in this [link to relevant documentation]. Knowledge base articles.
As part of the new product structure, the package was also added Advanced Introduced (between Entry and Complete). This license can be activated immediately.
Prices and transition
Since the new Entry package is more comprehensive than the previous Essential package, the regular price is slightly higher.
For Essential users active on June 9, 2025, we have negotiated a transition period with the currently valid Essential price until October 31, 2025. After that, the price will increase in two steps on November 1, 2025, and April 1, 2026.
This gives you sufficient lead time for planning and communicating with your customers.
