Better performance and more automation
we have you in this newsfeed We have announced that the long-planned restructuring of our Managed Endpoint Security system is starting. We will now briefly report on the current status.
The restrictions over the past few days were of course not "in vain". Behind the scenes, we've been working diligently and cleaned up thousands of objects. The cleanup was done manually to ensure that no actively used objects were deleted. We've prepared some figures to illustrate this:
- Dynamic group templates: 179 → 113 (37%)
- Dynamic groups: 1506 → 993 (34%)
- Tasks: 6581 → 4781 (27%)
- Task trigger: 6161 → 3019 (51%)
- Installers: 2599 → 1111 (57%)
- Authorization sets: 2164 → 561 (74%)
What have we achieved? Performance has noticeably improved! "Hanging" occurs less frequently, and when it does, background processes are completed more quickly. However, this was only preparation for the upcoming ESET PROTECT 11.1 patch. In the lab, a database snapshot was used to...A further improvement of approximately 50% was observed. Stay tuned!
