Feature enhancements and release notes
We are pleased to announce several feature enhancements to the Managed RMM product. In addition to numerous minor optimizations and design adjustments, we would like to highlight two key points in more detail.
Improvements to the antivirus update check
It is now possible to select "Microsoft Security Center" during the antivirus update scan for Windows workstations. This new scan option can be used to monitor all third-party antivirus products installed on Windows workstations.
This means that the antivirus update check is now part of the process. Monitoring of every installed AV solution This eliminates the need for reactive updates to the audits when manufacturers update their endpoint solutions. This makes the audit much more reliable and comprehensive.
To benefit from this improvement, edit the antivirus update check and select "Microsoft Security Center", which now appears at the top of the list.
Please note that this option is only available for Windows workstations and not for Windows servers. This is because Microsoft does not offer the Security Center feature with its server operating systems. The company is currently exploring alternative options to see if we can offer the same enhancement for servers.
Automated tasks now run almost in real time.
From now on, when running automated tasks, you can see the output of a script almost in real time if required – usually within about 20 seconds, depending on how long the script itself takes to execute.
This means you can determine much faster whether a script has fulfilled its task when it comes to solving customer problems and other automated tasks.
If a real-time connection to the endpoint is unavailable at that time, a 5-minute check-in cycle is used. This is still much faster than the previous process, which relied on a 24/7 check cycle and often took 30 minutes or more to display the results.
