The IT security situation remains tense to critical*. The need to further develop managed security services has become indispensable.
In addition to the recent incidents (we reported: Cyber attack on MediaMarktSaturnThis year there were also reports of the Kaseya hack, attacks on SolarWinds and, more recently, a resurgence of Emotet.
To increase your security level, we support you with products such as Managed Endpoint Protection, Managed Backup or a Managed Firewall, but also with the mandatory introduction of multi-factor authentication and regular security audits of all our systems.
Backup systems in RMM
In our assessment, the risk will continue to increase in the area of RMM systems. However, a backup protects you and your customers from the worst-case scenario – for good reason, backups play a central role in your security concepts. One important point must be considered to benefit from a backup in an emergency: those who use their own backup servers, must Make sure you don't monitor these devices in the same RMM tool used to manage all your other (customer) devices. If a targeted attack on one of the RMM systems compromises your systems, your backups will also be severely at risk – and then you'll have nothing left! Please pay close attention to this. Backup systems must be strictly separated from all other systems., or relies on an additional cloud backup as a reserve.
