An overview of the latest updates to SYNAXON Managed RMM

Discover the latest developments

We are pleased to present some new features for Managed RMM today.
We have summarized the most important information for you here.

Apple DMA UI Update

As the DMA is further developed, the layout will be made more familiar. The plan for this area is to offer significantly more functionality than just profile provisioning, therefore we have updated this tab and renamed it "Devices".

We have also updated the "Apple Business Manager" tab and renamed it "Automatic Enrollment" because this name better reflects the goals of the area and the card is not a direct replacement for ABM.

Profile Mismatch Indicator

We have now made it clearer that profiles installed on a device no longer belong to the customer who owns the device.

More asset data for device lifecycle management – coming soon!

Based on feedback from our partners, we are adding five new columns of asset data to the asset inventory view: MAC address, BIOS, External IP address, Asset Added Time, and Asset Age.

We will distribute the new columns to our partners in the coming days.
Here you can find more details:

A notice: Asset age data is derived from the software installation dates detected on the endpoint. This is a proxy measure of device age and may not be 100% accurate for every device. For example, when a device is reinstalled, the software is typically reinstalled with a new installation date. As a result, the device age calculation can be affected, and the hardware may be considered newer than it actually is.

Detailed script/task dashboard output – coming soon!

We will soon be improving the error messages in the script output when scripts fail with the error message "Invalid script parameters". This will provide more accurate and useful information for diagnosing and resolving problems with scripts or endpoints. Here is a before-and-after screenshot showing the improvement:

Windows RC Agent Update
We have also released a new Windows RC Agent, v10.14.2, with general performance improvements.

Windows Agent 10.14.2 RC
UPDATE: General performance improvements

Mac Agent v3.9.5 RC
This is a small release that focuses on two improvements:

1. Fixes an issue where newly added devices do not install TakeControl properly, requiring it to be turned off and then on again.

2. Fixes an issue where the system's default template was applied when upgrading the Mac agent.
