RMM v9 agents will be updated automatically
To ensure continued support for monitored devices, an automatic upgrade of the old "Version 9" agents has been running since yesterday, October 18th. This will further improve support and functionality. The goal of the update is the new version 10.11.8, which we will be releasing in our Blog post have presented.
The agent update also includes the new patch management engine, which features several improvements over the previous version.
Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP devices will not be updated automatically, as support for these has been discontinued, as previously announced. Going forward, such systems should be monitored via network monitoring. The manufacturer advises against agent-based monitoring. Further information can be found here. Blog post.
What needs to be done?
No intervention from the partner is necessary. If Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP devices are still in use, they should be configured via network monitoring.
