Our manufacturer will completely discontinue support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 effective March 1, 2023.
TLS 1.0 and 1.1 were already discontinued in March 2020, but N-able has continued to provide support to ensure backward compatibility.
Therefore, as of March 1, 2023, there will no longer be support for devices using TLS 1.0 and 1.1. Devices with an operating system that does not support TLS 1.2 or higher will no longer be able to connect to the dashboard and will be displayed as "Offline/Overdue".
Affected Windows operating systems:
- Windows 7
- Windows Server 2008
- Windows Server 2012
Information for the affected operating systems and for updating to TLS 1.2 can be found at this link.
We provide all our Managed RMM users with a script to reduce manual effort. The script can be used for both checks and tasks.
Script title: Device: TLS 1.2 activation
Use as an automated task: When the script is run as a scheduled task, the necessary registry entries are set to enable TLS 1.2. A restart is required after activation for the changes to take effect.
Use as a check: The system checks whether TLS 1.2 has been enabled and displays the status in the dashboard.
